Vindšachta Lake
The largest reservoir in Štiavnické Bane, dating back to 1710, featuring a sandy beach for children; popular for ice skating and cold-water swimming in winter.
The dam of this reservoir was built in 1710 by Matej Kornel Hell to secure a sufficient water reserve for powering mining pumps. To this day, it remains one of the largest reservoirs in the area, offering a sandy beach for children on the back side and stairs for experienced swimmers at the front. In winter, it is a sought-after spot for ice skaters and cold-water swimmers. Please note that equipment rentals and services at the lake are not officially confirmed, so we advise checking locally. It is adjacent to Evička Reservoir, and together they form a proven water circuit in Štiavnické Bane.
