Stay with children near Banská Štiavnica
Four kilometres from Banská Štiavnica, in Svätý Anton right by the château, stands the historic Soví dom villa. Families spend the stay at their own pace: breakfast when the children wake up, trips to suit their age, and dinner from your own kitchen.
View accommodationOne apartment or the whole house
A smaller family of up to six stays comfortably in one apartment with its own bedroom, bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen.
Travelling with extended family or grandparents? The whole house gives both apartments to a single group – up to twelve guests – while each part of the house keeps its own facilities and everyone stays just a few steps apart.

Your own kitchen and separate rooms
In the apartment you cook and dine exactly as you would at home. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you shop once for a longer stay and cook on your own schedule.
Separate rooms mean younger children can sleep while the parents enjoy a quiet evening in the living room.

Trips for younger children and schoolkids
The historic park and woodland park by the manor house border the villa and serve for first walks as well as games under the trees.
School-aged children will find plenty to do in the region: the mining reservoirs for summer swimming, the Štiavnica City Game town hunt, or the mining museums with their underground tunnels.
Things to do in the rain
When it rains, you don't have to spend the whole day in the apartment: museums and mining exhibitions, old adits and cafés in Banská Štiavnica are only a few kilometres away. More tips by children's age can be found in the family itineraries below.

With young children
For children under about five years old, a simple plan works best: one short activity, a meal, and time to rest. Start close to your accommodation at Soví dom or choose a location from which you can easily return.

For older children, choose an activity where they can discover, solve, or create something. A city game, the mining underground, and a pre-arranged workshop give the program a concrete goal; older children can even get involved in the planning.

How do we choose between an apartment and the whole house?
For a smaller family of up to six we recommend one apartment. A larger family or a trip with grandparents fits the whole house better, where both parts belong to one group.
Can we cook our own meals?
Yes. Every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, so you simply cook exactly what your children like to eat.
Is the area suitable for younger children too?
The park and woodland by the manor house are within sight of the villa and manageable for younger children on walks. For tips by age, we recommend our family itineraries.
Tell us about your family
Send a non-binding inquiry with the number of adults and your children's ages. We'll gladly recommend the apartment or the whole house that best fits your family.
