A Day Without a Car

A day built on proven foundations: everything for the morning is within walking distance of the house, and you can reach the town by regional bus.

Morning — Svätý Anton on foot

A stroll through the historic park by the manor house (30–60 minutes) and a tour of the manor with the Hunting Museum (approx. 1.5 hours, highly recommended). Both stops are right next to Soví dom.

Moving to town: by bus from the stop in the village of Svätý Anton to Banská Štiavnica. Regional connections are available (verified in the schedule on Oct 20, 2026), but departure times do change — please look up specific connections there and back in advance on cp.sk and write down your selected connection so you have some flexibility.

Afternoon — the town center on foot

Banská Štiavnica is a town made for walking: the historic center, the Town Hall Square, Horná ružová street, and indoor stops (museums, the city model) in case the weather turns. Lunch in town — restaurants are external establishments, see the overview in the dining section.

Evening — return by bus

Back by bus to Svätý Anton. Check the last evening connections in the morning while planning — and be sure to return with a bit of time to spare.

Everything is within reach without a car

The manor, the park, and the local grocery store are all within walking distance of the house, so you can spend a peaceful day right in Svätý Anton even without taking the bus.
